Kind-hearted Caragh Fraser gives her hair to charity
They have Lanark Primary pupil Caragh Fraser and her mum Vicki to thank for this unusual donation of human hair to a charity, the Little Princess Trust, which makes wigs for youngsters who have lost their own locks through chemotherapy and other cancer treatments.
The charity clipping took place at Caragh’s mum’s business premises, Vicki’s Beauty Salon on Lanark’s Wellgate, with resident hair stylist Jan Ronney wielding the scissors.

“The Little Princess Trust does a marvellous job, supplying free human hair wigs to children undergoing cancer treatment between the ages of two and 18 years old. These wigs would cost around £1500 each if supplied by a commercial company but the charity has them made for £350 and the child gets them for free.”
