Barrowlands gig was a night to remember for young musician
The 10-year Kirkintilloch musician belted out an Oasis track at Glasgow’s Barrowlands in aid of the Clutha Trust charity.
A host of talented youngsters took part in the event last Saturday, which was billed as the ‘Next Generation’ aimed at unearthing a new musical superstar from Scotland. Around 40 artists aged between 10 and 18 years old performed at the gig.

Hide AdDaniel, a pupil at St Agatha’s Primary School, said: “To be performing on a stage which has had so many famous bands on it was a brilliant feeling. It was great fun to perform in front of a large crowd and I loved every minute of it.
“I’m a massive Beatles fan as well as Oasis so I sang ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’ - which seemed to go down well. It was for a great cause and it was an unforgettable night. I’ll now need to decide whether I want to concentrate on my music or football.”
The Barrowlands is one of the UK’s top live music venues and some of the biggest names in the music business have played there, including U2 and Oasis.
