Boclair Road is due to close again next Monday
The road has only just re-opened (Friday, January 29) after being closed for a week to allow Scottish Water to install a new connection for a new fire hydrant on Boclair Road, adjacent to the new Boclair House Hotel.
The new closure is for additional work associated with the new hotel and fire hydrant.

Hide AdThe last time the road was closed residents contacted us to say that it was a major inconvenience because it’s the main route from Bearsden to Balmore, Torrance, Kirkintilloch and Bishopbriggs.
Local people said alternative routes could not cope with the additional traffic as there are build-outs on many of roads, including Rannoch Drive.
One woman who lives in Endrick Drive, Bearsden, said: “It was total chaos this morning on my way to work.
“It was gridlock at one point as many people were also taking their children to school.
“The build-outs and parked cars made it more dangerous for everyone because no-one knew whether they should give way.
“People were also stopping on keep clear signs which didn’t help matters.”
