Burst water main causes headache for drivers
Motorists wanting to travel to Lenziemill Road coming along the A8011 have been following a diversion in place by North Lanarkshire Council.
A burst water main on Sunday, August 11, however, meant drivers following the diversion were prevented from getting on to the road.

A Scottish Water spokesman explained: “To enable a repair to be carried out on the burst water mains quickly
and safely, it was necessary to put temporary traffic management measures in place.
“We apologise to any customers affected by disruption to their water supply, as well as to motorists for any inconvenience caused.
