Tomorrow, Thursday, August 1, Colzium House, Kilsyth, will host a Romans Day from 11am until 3pm. Find out more about the Romans including what it was like to be in the Roman Army in Scotland, with Roman costumes available to try on. The event costs £1 entry and is open to all ages.
On Friday, August 2, Pop Out to Play (POP) comes to the Muirfield Community Facility in Brown Road, Cumbernauld, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. POP encourages children to play in their local parks and open spaces with activities including arts and crafts, parachute play and den building. All activities are free and the event is suitable for children up to 14 years old.

Hide AdNext Wednesday, August 7, the annual general meeting of Watch Us Grow will take place at 1.30 p.m. in Cornerstone House, Esk Walk, Cumbernauld. Watch Us Grow is an environmental charity which helps adults with disabilities through gardening and recycling projects. The group sells organic produce and plants grown in its gardens at Palacerigg Country Park, with recycled baby goods, nursery equipment, and more available at its Nursery Needs project in Lenziemill. Anyone interested in the work of the group can attend the annual general meeting to find out more.
