Manager accused of cash theft at Murray golf course
The former manager of a prestigious golf course developed by former Rangers chairman Sir David Murray has been charged with stealing thousands of pounds.
Gary Shilliday faces trial at Hamilton Sheriff Court next month.
Torrance Park Golf Club’s £1.5 million clubhouse was officially opened last month at a ceremony attended by Sir David along with Rangers legends Walter Smith and Ally McCoist, and Celtic hero Murdo MacLeod.

Hide AdThe USPGA Championship-standard course has itself been open for several years and Shilliday is accused of embezzling £7,430 while employed as manager between October 2014 and February 2015.
The 46-year-old, from Chapelhall, denies the charge and is due to stand trial on January 27.
