Dogs need love too... especially during National Adoption Week
To help them the team are launching a social media campaign using the hashtag #ADogShone in a bid to find loving homes for dogs that are often overlooked.
Supporters will also be encouraged to post pictures of their dogs to highlight the joy a happy home can have on a dog’s life.

Sandra Lawton, Rehoming Centre Manager for Dogs Trust Glasgow, said: “We really hope to influence people’s perceptions with #ADogShone because it’s important that every dog gets to experience a loving home, no matter what age they are.”
“If you don’t have the time to permanently adopt a dog, our Home from Home foster scheme allows families to rehome dogs temporarily so they can experience what it’s like to be part of a family home. Dogs like Rosco, who have made great companions for families while they wait for a new home.”
Rosco is a two-year-old Staffordshire Cross who loves attention, so having a foster home has really helped bring out his character. He has been described by his foster carer as friendly and energetic, with a good sense of humour.”
