Public meeting to save Biggar toilets
And posters and collection cans are going out to shops and businesses to begin raising funds to keep the toilets open.
The town’s voluntary groups have been working behind the scenes, negotiating with South Lanarkshire Council which originally intended to close the toilets in April, as part of the budget cuts.

Hide AdThe Corn Exchange, a registered charity, is the leading group in the working party set up to save the toilets in the town, which is a popular stop for tourists on their way to Edinburgh.
