School pupils get new community hub development off to a winning start
Assisted by East Dunbartonshire Council leader, Rhondda Geekie, the young people took part in the official event to mark the start of construction of the £5.2m community facility, which is set for completion in January 2016.
Pupil Emma Martin (10) said: “I was very excited to have a peek on site before the rest of my class.

The other children involved were Rebecca Hogg (5), Cameron Benson (6), Ellie McMillan (9), Samuel McArthur (7) and Lewis Wason (11).
Councillor Geekie said: “This is a great milestone for Lennoxtown. The development of the community hub will see a £5.2M investment by the council to support development in the area.
“It was especially pleasing to be joined by local school pupils. The new facility is sure to be of benefit to them now, and as they grow.”
