Wallace Day March in Lanark 2013 Slideshow
Now organised by the SNP but advertised as a non-political event, the Saltire-waving procession made its way from Wallace’s reputed place of worship, Old St Kentigern’s in Lanark Cemetery, to the Cross, led by Lanark and District Pipe Band.
The marchers then gathered around the small memorial stone in the Castlegate where, reputedly, the home of Wallace’s wife Marion Braidfute once stood, to hear the annual Guardian’s Address.
