Rob Roy gaffer relishes league win and looks forward to possible “defining moment”
Rob Roy won the game 4-1, but it could have been even more comfortable against a team who have yet to win a league game this season.
Rabs gaffer Stewart Maxwell said: “We played really well with an excellent first half performance in particular.

“We’ve shown that there are goals in the team although we were defensively careless at times. I was disappointed to lose a penalty because our goalie has been getting a bit of stick lately and it would have been great for him to get a clean sheet. Overall it was a great team performance.”
Now the Kirkintilloch team are looking forward to two potentially season-defining games, with Pollok in the league and Cumnock in the Scottish Junior Cup.
Maxwell said: “Our problem this year has been consistency.
“If we could get something against Pollok I’m sure the supporters will come to Adamslie in droves for the cup game.
“Every cup run has a defining moment and this could be ours as after Cumnock the draw could open up.”
Rabs play Pollok at Newlandsfield Park on Saturday. Kick-off is at 2pm.
