Minis enjoy rugby festival
This year’s festival was a wonderfully attended event with in excess of 300 children appearing in teams from Loch Lomond, Bannockburn, Glasgow East, Lenzie, Cartha Queens Park, Falkirk, Clydebank and Waysiders Drumpellier in all ages groups from primary one all the way up to primary seven, and at every level there was a high quality of rugby skill shown.

Hide AdCUMBERNAULD under 14 squad travelled to Newton Mearns on Sunday to take on the talented pool of players from Whitecraigs Rugby Club.
Despite the dull start, it turned out to be a great day for running rugby, with an air temperature at about 12 degrees, a firm (but not hard) pitch, and a bit of a breeze. It was a welcome change to the weather the players have experienced for most of the season so far.
But for all their effort, Cumbernauld were disappointed not to emerge victorious, but they should be proud of the effort they expended in this high intensity match, as they are now performing as a team, instead of a group of individuals.
